My personal interests and hobbies include my family, hunting with my Labrador Retrievers, and fishing. I am actively involved with canine athletics including field trial dogs, hunting dogs, and law enforcement canines.  I also like to play golf, but not very well. I have two fine Labrador Retrievers and three neutered cats named "Tom", "Tommy", and "Thomas". My greatest passion is my work!
Office Manager:
Michelle
I have been with Coffee Road Veterinary Clinic since I was 19 years old in 1986.  I started as a Kennel Assistant for a work experience animal science class. I was then trained as a receptionist, and after a few years advanced to an Office Manager position. I've been happily married for 25 years to a great man and have two grown sons ages 18 and 21.  Along with my human family, I have a large animal family as well.  I have Dachshunds, Labradors, cats, a horse, goats, and chickens.  You would have to say I love the animals and I love my job!
Registered Technicians:
McKayla Kole
Felisha:
My passion for veterinary medicine started with my love for bringing home stray animals as a child.  I completed the Veterinary Technician Program at Modesto Junior College in 2010 as well as the required technical hours.  I passed the California Registered Veterinary Technician exam and became licensed in April 2012. I have been working in the veterinary field since 2008 and have been with the Coffee Road Veterinary Family since 2009.  I have many rescue pets ranging in ages from 1 1/2 to 7 years old that have become my personal pets, one of which is our former office cat "Queens".  I also have a daughter named Paige who is almost a year old who already has the same love of animals as me.  I love to meet new friends, both animal and human, and cherish the ones I have already met!
Jesselain:
I have loved animals since I was knee high to a grasshopper -- ha ha! As a child, I would take in and nurse stray animals which has led me to this field. I originally wanted to be a veterinarian and work with wildlife, but I found my place working with companion animals.  I became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2010 after graduating the Veterinary Technician Program with an Associates Degree at Western Career College (now Carrington).  I came to know Coffee Road Veterinary Clinic while doing my clinical rotations and externship and from there became part of the family.  I absolutely love working here with Dr. Baker as my mentor and love being able to consider all of the staff close friends.  I have quite the collection of animals at home including a Doberman named "Prince", a King Charles Cavalier named "Envy", and a Chihuahua named "Stretcher".  I also have a small number of cats and that number always seems to grow! Lastly I have a cockatiel and a chinchilla, My house is a zoo! I am also a mother of two boys, Rage and Orion, and my new addition is a baby girl named Fury. I love being a technician and have become very close to many of our patients as well as their owners and I look forward to creating many more close relationships.
Veterinary Assistants:
Dawn:
All my life, I have had a passion for animals that runs deep.  After 20 years selling real estate, I made a career and life-changing decision to help animals. In 2010, I went back to school to obtain the skills needed to become a Veterinary Technician. I completed the Veterinary Technician Program at Modesto Junior College in April 2012, and am currently working to complete the required clinical hours to get my license, as well as working to complete my A.S. Degree in Animal Science.  My ultimate goal is to take what I have learned and open an animal rescue. I have four dogs, two of which are apple headed chihuahuas named Peanut and Chester, one deer head chihuahua named Colt, and one rescue chihuahua mix named Ravioli (aka Ravi). Ravi is one of the several animals that I have rescued in my life, and likely will not be the last!
